I love the idea of keeping a "Hostess Journal." After each dinner, get together or party at our house I always think, "oh remember to...(buy more ice, adjust music level, avoid serving xyz) next time." But then I forget what to remember. Problem solved by keeping things in a lovely journal. Idea and picture from Second City Soiree.
